Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and the Department of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (FSM) are seeking a part-time or full-time, non-tenure-eligible Health System Clinician in the Wellness and Weight Management program, part of the Division of Advanced General Pediatrics and Primary Care. The individual’s clinical responsibilities include outpatient care for children and adolescents (ages 2 to 19) with obesity and related cardio-renal-metabolic complications. The Wellness and Weight Management Program currently sees nearly 3,000 patient visits annually at one of three outpatient locations.

Job Posting Description
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Operations and Growth Manager to help drive operational execution and cross-functional coordination within an early-stage healthcare startup. This role sits at the center of the organization, supporting operational workflows, partnerships, communications, and program delivery while helping leadership translate priorities into action. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-moving environment, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and is comfortable working across operations, business development, marketing, and customer engagement. This is a hybrid role in Philadelphia starting part-time in-person and moving into a full-time hybrid role after the transition period, based on mutual need and availability.
Job Responsibilities
• Coordinate day-to-day operational workflows and ensure key initiatives move forward on schedule
• Develop operational processes and policies that support KPI-driven performance and scalable growth
• Serve as a liaison between operations, business development, and product teams to support execution of company initiatives
• Support leadership in analyzing operational insights, stakeholder feedback, and market signals to inform program improvements and strategic decisions
• Contribute to grant applications, research collaborations, and partnership proposals
• Support marketing and communications efforts including social media campaigns, webinars, and public-facing engagement
• Coordinate logistics for conferences, speaking engagements, and promotional events, including booth setup and materials
• Assist with partnership development, research, meeting coordination, and follow-up
• Support customer and partner communications and help improve engagement workflows
• Help oversee interns and contribute to building a collaborative, accountable, and mission-driven team culture
Job Requirements

1. Degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
2. Minimum 3 years of experience working in healthcare operations (healthcare startup, digital health, health system, or safety-net provider environment preferred)
3. Experience with telemedicine or virtual care billing and CPT codes
4. Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and healthcare insurance billing and reimbursement
5. Familiarity with community-based organizations, social service providers, or healthcare delivery ecosystems
6. Strong communication skills with interest or experience in marketing, social media campaigns, webinars, or public engagement
7. Comfort using operational tools including EMR systems, Google Workspace or Microsoft Office, Calendly, and Slack
8. MPH and/or experience in operations or business development within early-stage healthcare startups preferred

As a primary care physician at knownwell, you will work alongside a team of committed physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses, dietitians, and behavioral health clinicians to provide comprehensive medical care, with a specific focus on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of obesity-related conditions as appropriate. Position: Hybrid, on-site and remote.

Schedule: Monday- Friday with flexible scheduling, 32 patient contact hours minimum.

On-Call: Rotation with initial triage performed by nurses.
Requirements:
- You have a medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- You have an unrestricted Massachusetts license or willingness to obtain.
- You are board certified/board eligible in family medicine or internal medicine and pediatrics.
- You have an ABOM board certification or willingness to obtain. Fellowship preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Practice exceptional medicine within knownwell
- Sees adults for primary care, often with a focus on metabolic health. Sees pediatric patients only for metabolic health.
- Embodies the knownwell mission and values of patient inclusivity in how you deliver care.
- Coordinates with the broader care team to ensure the patient has the support they need .
- Documents as necessary to ensure accurate billing.
- Communicates with patients in a timely matter through our portal for questions, including with the assistance of a nurse practitioner.
- Provides feedback on technology.
- Ensure patients feel known well
- Ensure panel is open to any individual, regardless of their current health status and comorbidities.
- Listen to the aspirations of the patient and ensure care is tailored to the patient’s unique health journey.
- Provide an environment in which patients feel comfortable and free from judgment.
- Offer exceptional encouragement as patients reach their goals.
- Coordinate across the collaborative care team
- Escalate any clinical concerns to Chief Medical Officer.
