OMA Member Referral Program

Grow our Obesity Medicine Association (OMA) community and get rewarded! Our Member Referral Program is designed to recognize and thank members who help expand our network. Earn rewards for your 1st, 3rd, and 5th referrals — and each new member gets a special incentive too!

How It Works

  1. Share Your Referral Code - Each OMA member will receive a unique referral code after signing up for the Member Referral Program. Share it with peers and colleagues.
  2. When someone joins the OMA using your unique referral code, both of you benefit:
    1. You earn toward referral milestones (see details below).
    2. The new member will receive 10% off initial membership and a discount code for 10% off of the next Annual Conference registration. *
  3. Track Your Progress - OMA will notify you via email as your referrals are confirmed and rewards are earned.

Incentive Tiers for Referring Members **

 

Top referring members will also be recognized in our member newsletters throughout the year and all referring members that reach at least 5 referrals will be entered into a raffle for a complimentary main conference registration at the next Annual Conference.

* Clinician in Training and Resident/Fellow Member Types do not qualify for these additional discounts, but will receive a $30 Academy credit.

** 1 referral credits will be given for Physician, NP/PA and Associate New Members. 5 referred Clinician in Training or Resident/Fellow Members would equate to 1 referral.

Terms & Conditions

  • Referral Program runs on a calendar year basis and resets at the beginning of each year with the opportunity to earn the incentives each year. Referrals made in November and December 2025 will count toward the following year’s program, giving you an early start on earning rewards for 2026.
  • Only new individuals who register as new members qualify as valid referrals.
  • Rewards are issued once the referred member’s payment is processed.
  • Membership renewal discount incentive cannot be combined with other discount offerings.
  • Referring members must be in good standing to participate.
  • Rewards are non-transferable.
