The Obesity Medicine Conference brings together leading clinicians, researchers, and educators to deliver an advanced, practice-driven learning experience focused on bringing science to the heart of obesity care. This preconference will offer a 2-day program of advanced education designed for experienced clinicians in obesity medicine. Each lecture will be paired with case-based presentations, allowing participants to directly apply key concepts to real-world clinical scenarios.

The OMA Masters Course: The Year in Obesity Medicine is an intensive, four-hour educational program designed to highlight the most significant scientific and clinical advancements in obesity medicine over the past 1–2 years. Through nine focused
presentations and expert-led discussions, the course will cover nutrition, behavior, pharmacotherapy, surgery, pediatrics, diagnostics, comorbid conditions, and emerging hot topics. Each session incorporates sentinel publications to provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the evolving field. This program offers a concise, evidence-based update that equips learners with the insights needed to translate cutting-edge research into improved clinical practice.

This program is designed for those who are ready to strengthen their leadership capabilities in clinical and team-based care. The program will address the leadership and management skills needed to guide multidisciplinary teams, enhance patient care delivery, and align operations with quality and financial goals. Through case-based discussions, peer exchange, and applied exercises, participants will explore key competencies such as emotional intelligence, team building, communication, financial acumen, and strategies for reducing burnout. Emphasis will be placed on practical application in obesity medicine and chronic care settings, enabling clinicians to lead with vision, build high-performing care teams, foster innovation, and sustain joy in practice.
This program bridges the gap between clinical expertise and leadership proficiency, equipping participants with actionable tools to improve patient outcomes, enhance team performance, and drive practice transformation in obesity care.
