LillyDirect works with Healthgrades to add a new feature for healthcare professionals (HCPs) to better manage their online presence in the independent HCP finder search results on LillyDirect

What’s New?

A new self-serve process has been added by Healthgrades to the HCP finder tool on LillyDirect to support:

1. Profile Management: HCPs can now more easily opt-in, opt-out, or manage their Healthgrades profile directly from the provider search on the LillyDirect site. This streamlined process ensures that accurate and up-to-date information is readily available to patients seeking care.
2. Expanded Reach: Nurse practitioners and physician assistants with expertise in treating patients with certain conditions, including obesity, can now opt-in to the search results.

How to Take Action

1. Navigate to the LillyDirect In-Person Care page (under ‘Find Care’ in the top navigation), select the relevant condition, then select the ‘Search for doctors’ button.
2. Within the tool and above the filter options, select the ‘Are you a healthcare professional?’ button that references adding, removing, and updating a Healthgrades profile.
3. Enter your NPI number. Healthgrades will return whether or not your Healthgrades profile is appearing in the results on LillyDirect for the selected condition.
4. To opt-in to the results or update a profile, follow the steps to claim your Healthgrades profile on the Healthgrades website.
   1. After completing the steps on the Healthgrades site, Healthgrades will process the request. It may take between 3-5 business days for the changes to reflect in the LillyDirect search results.
5. If your profile is returning in the results and you no longer want to be included, follow the steps to opt-out which does not require you to claim your Healthgrades profile.
   1. Healthgrades will process the request once received. It may take between 3-5 business days for the profile to be removed from the search results.

While HCPs can manage their profiles, the order of search results remains in the hands of consumers. Factors such as location, proximity, and applied filters will determine how many HCPs are listed in the results and the order of the results.
