February OMA Member Highlight

Jennifer Ng, MD, Dipl. ABOM became a member of the OMA in 2016 and is an assistant professor of medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. From the moment she attended her first OMA conference, she knew she wanted to become a member. She was so inspired by all the amazing and friendly people she met and can’t imagine a more welcoming organization than the OMA. She says it really solidified her decision to pursue obesity medicine.

One of Jennifer’s favorite member benefits is the opportunity for committee involvement. Being a committee member really enhances the experience of being a part of OMA. Everyone should get involved in a committee.  Ever since she joined a committee, a whole new world of opportunities has opened up to her and taken her in directions she had not considered previously. It is great to connect with like-minded people regularly on the committees. Jennifer will be attending Obesity Medicine 2023 in New York this spring. She says, “I love attending the OMA conferences. I always learn something new, and I also enjoy catching up with other OMA members again.”
