2025 OMA Board of Trustees Election

Nominations for the 2025-2026 Board of Trustees are now OPEN.

The election process for the 2025-2026 OMA Board of Trustees begins January 22, 2025.

Interested parties must submit a nomination to be considered for the ballot from January 22-February 5, 2025. Nominations close February 5, 2025, at 11:59 pm ET. If submitting a nomination, potential nominees must be available for a one-hour committee interview between February 12-21, 2025, and must plan on attending Obesity Medicine 2025 to participate in the board installation on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

The voting period will be open to OMA members from March 11-18, 2025. The election slate will be posted to this page on March 11 and an email will be sent to members with the ballot.

The following positions are open for election and will be included on the 2025-2026 Board of Trustees election ballot:

Executive Committee (must have served a minimum of 2 years as a trustee to be considered):

  • President-Elect (12-month term)
  • Vice-President (12-month term)
  • Secretary/Treasurer (12-month term)

Trustee (strongly recommended that all applicants have been an OMA Member for a minimum of 3 years, have attended a minimum of 4 OMA events, and have actively served on at least one OMA committee):

  • Physician Trustee (24-month term): 3 open seats
  • Non-Physician Trustee (24-month term): No open seats
