What do you envision as the top 3 goals or objectives that are most important for the Ethics Committee and why?
- Ensure that the OMA maintains the highest ethical standards in its business and educational endeavors
- Listen carefully and fully consider all aspects of presented ethical dilemmas
- Educate OMA members about any controversial ethical issues

How do you think your talents, competencies, attitudes, and skills make you a good candidate for this position?
I have always had an interest in ethics and ethical dilemmas, serving on Ethics Committees for over 20 years. I have extensive experience in leadership positions which has expanded my knowledge of both the business of medicine as well as clinical medicine. My listening and communication skills are excellent, and I can often get to the core of a problem quickly.

List three reasons why you wish to serve on the Ethics Committee and explain why they will be an asset to the OMA.
- I have extensive experience in ethics, serving as the Chair to Hospital Ethics Committees for over 20 years.
- I have excellent listening and problem-solving skills.
- I have extensive medical leadership experience as a Medical Director and Family Medicine Residency Director.

In what ways do you think OMA could improve?
Continue to provide extensive educational opportunities and products to a wide audience. In particular, provide educational products aimed at medical students, residents, and other medical learners in order to get physicians (and other trainees) aware of Obesity Medicine as early in their career as possible.
